Our Mission,
Working with young people, artists, teachers and local authority agencies, our sole mission is to get more young people into contemporary art, by engaging children with all that Street Art has to offer.
Through our workshops, we strive to make a positive contribution to the aspiring young artists, by identifying and promoting good practices in both informal and formal learning environments.
Our projects focus on encouraging young people to scribble, sketch and sculpt there way to a more colourful future, by producing what we think is an exciting, inspirational and innovative education project. We do this by showcasing the worlds best Street Artists currently adding colour to walls all over the globe. Our unique Pooch Program gives supporting artists the opportunity to inspire young people by letting there creative side run free on a unique dog sculpture designed by Eero Aarnio. Helping to create a progression routes for young people through the Arts Awards we aim to offer.
We will be showcasing the dogs at Schools, Colleges and University’s throughout the U.K. where students will be given the opportunity to discuss and evaluate the colourful creations on display, focusing on each artists inspirations and motivations behind there works, focusing on the positive impact art has had on them and others around them.
After which the students will work together to create their very own pooch master piece, which will then go on to be entered into our annual competition held at London gallery, for a fun pact gala evening, where students will get the opportunity to meet some of the artists involved for face to face inspiration. During the evening awards will be given to both students and schools involved for best in show, kinda like Crufts for the Contemporary Art world, with special awards going to some of the artists involved, as a way of saying thank you for there continued support.
"Inspiring Children through street art makes for a fun filled project that only the Contemporary Art Foundation offer."
